Hockey Village India - Boys play All India Tournament in Lucknow

In january we were invited the first time to an All India Tournament U14 to Lucknow, wich made us very proud and honoured. The sounding name of that tournament was K.D. Singh Babu and was really very well organised. Our boys had to pass a hair check in advance to proofe that they are under 14. The result was, that we had to leave some of the boys back in the village even if they were only 13 years old... So we borrowed some players from our friends in Bhilwara and went by train to Lucknow. Besides real good sportsman food with egg and chicken we were able to play the first match on the brand new astro turf. The boys lost against Haryana by 15:0 as they were really much better than us, but against Chattisgarh we had good chances for our first win as we were leading by 3:1 in the first half but gave away the game by loosing 3:4 at the end. All in all we collected a load of good experiences and we will come back next year again for sure! We played against the best teams of the country as a simple village team, so it was okey to loose...
