In the end of February I directed a group of 22 travel agents during a trip through India. And we also had a visit in the village to see the rebuilt temple. The kids recognised me and slowly lost a bit of their shyness. Nevertheless one individual fate of a 14 year old girl made me sad. She is too old to visit the English classes, but she waited every day in front of the temple and hoped to get a place. Her parents are operating a little kiosk in the village and the girl has to help- so learning is absolutely the better alternative. Thus we allowed her to take part in the classes because she showed so much eagerness…I recognised also some changes in our restaurant. Now there are also glasses, tables and chairs and we even have stylish tablecloths, dishes, cutlery and cups! I handed out some hockey sticks and tricots for the kids, which I got from BHP a sponsor from Germany and we made a photo shooting with the kids wearing the new tricots. We had the idea of working on a new action where we needed some pictures. The idea was to hand out posters in all BHP shops in Germany where we had the possibility to promote the village. The motto is: For a donation of 5 € the person makes it possible that an Indian child is able to play hockey.
