Activities in our village

Public schools
The public schools do not have a sufficient stock with teaching materials, some kids have to sit on the naked floor and they do not have warm clothes for the winter months. We already bought a carpet, exercise books and sweatshirts for them. more information/a>
Hockeyequipment
During February and March we handed 120 hockey sticks and 16 tricots out to the kids. The equipment is sponsored by our German partners BHP Berlin and T.H.W. Hamburg – thank you very much for your help! We also saw some talented kids who have a lot of fun playing hockey... more information
Our Bua Sa restaurant
Since April 2009 Chandus family is hosting our clients and guests in the village with delicious Indian food. The tower of the fort has been redesigned to a restaurant. Now there are also glasses, tables and chairs and we even have stylish tablecloths, dishes, cutlery and cups!

Our school
Last summer in 2009 the old temple has been cleared out, painted in fresh colours so that it can be used as an open- air classroom and a nice place to meet. Two times a day the children from the 5.- 7. classes are taught English. Every day a lot of children are waiting in front of the room without getting admission because the room is too full! more information
The hockeycourt
To be able to offer a nice hockey training we do need a hockey court. At the moment (April 2010) the fore court is reformed to a hockey court. All cows and earthworks have to leave. We still need fences and doors… mehr Informationen
Bua Sa Homestay
In July we will build three guest rooms in the fort. These very ruinous rooms have to be rebuild by some professionals. Every room will get a bathroom and the following volunteers and guests can sleep over there to experience a real Indian home stay.

Teaching material
We already handed out exercise books and pens to the kids but there are still some things missing like English books, atlases, copiers, computers.... Furthermore the walls in the schools really need a new paintwork. In the end of 2010 every kid should have an own chair, so that they not have to sit on the naked floor! more information
Hockey training
To offer nice free time activities and to aid the team spirit of the kids there will be a hockey training starting in July 2010 for boys and girls regularly held by trainers from Jaipur. Of course all rules and standards have to be learned! mehr Informationen
Volunteers
We are looking for some volunteers who are able to stay for a minimum of one month in our village to offer optional and continuously English courses and a high quality hockey training! Previous knowledge beneficial. For sure a nice feeling of success!
